The winter is more popular for some people for their recreational reasons of skiing, snowboarding, snowmobile touring and also for the Christmas holiday season. The end of the year school holidays in many parts of the world and the February-march school holidays in the Nordic, Scandinavian and Europe region makes the winter season more popular because the holidays fall during that season. Some people do also get holidays during the June-August months of the year. The peak summer season in the Arctic Suomi region is during the June to August months. Some variation from year to year, with the August month being the beginning of the Autumn season.
